About Develli
A new name with deep roots
Develli Trading was founded in 2025 — but the family behind it has spent more than 70 years and three generations in natural stone.
That lineage runs from the quarry face to the polishing line, and it shapes how we buy: whole blocks, selected in person, from quarries we know. Develli is the current chapter of that story — a UK wholesaler built to bring the finest stones from around the world to fabricators, designers, and their clients. Leaving no stone unturned.
Block experts
People who buy the block, not the picture
Develli is led by director Fash Nejad and a small team who have handled stone all their working lives. The family sources hand-selected blocks at the quarry — judging the material in the raw, before it is ever cut — so every slab that reaches Essex has been chosen twice: once as a block, once as a slab.
That depth matters day to day. Ask us how a quartzite will behave on a waterfall end, which slabs of a block will bookmatch across an island, or whether a stone suits a floor — and you’ll get an answer from people who know the block it came from.
Firsts
The stone nobody else had
We believe in going further for material — literally. By our reckoning, Develli was the first to introduce Pink Onyx slabs to the UK: a stone we tracked down at source and brought home because nothing else reads like it, backlit or not.

From the quarry face to the Essex yard
Step 1
At the quarry
The family sources at the quarry, hand-selecting blocks in person — judging colour, movement, and soundness before the stone is ever cut.
Step 2
The block, not the sample
We buy whole blocks, so every slab in a listing shares one character and consecutive slabs bookmatch. What you view is what you receive.
Step 3
Cut & finished
Each block is gang-sawn into slabs, finished, and numbered in cutting order so movement across the block stays traceable.
Step 4
Stocked in Essex
Slabs land at our 25,000 sq ft Ongar warehouse, photographed and catalogued — ready to view, hold, and deliver.
